Shipping & Returns

Getting your butter to you

From our churn to your kitchen, we send Lard Ass goodness across Australia. We use refrigerated delivery where available and Australia Post Express Post for other destinations.

More perishable products like milk and cream can only travel shorter distances to stay safely chilled, so they are currently restricted to selected areas. However, you can still find them in many retailers around the country and at our farmers markets. Please check out our Stockists page.

Shipping costs are shown at checkout.

We dispatch at the beginning of the week to avoid your order spending the weekend sitting in a postage centre. Orders placed after midnight on Monday will typically be dispatched the following week.

Once your order is on its way, we’ll send you tracking details. For Australia Post orders, please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update.

We currently ship within Australia only.

Keeping things cool

Every order is carefully packed with insulated packaging and slow-melt ice packs to help keep everything cool on the journey from our churn to your fridge.

Please make sure someone is available to receive your order, or that you’ve provided a suitable place for it to be left. Butter and the Australian sun are not great friends, and we can’t take responsibility for orders left unattended in the heat or not refrigerated promptly after delivery.

Please refrigerate your products immediately on arrival.

Delivery times & delays

We take care of your order right up until it enters the delivery network. Once your order has been handed to the delivery provider, delivery timeframes are outside our control, and Lard Ass cannot be held responsible for delays within the carrier’s network.

If your delivery is taking longer than expected, please check your tracking information first. If you still need help, get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

Returns & damaged orders

As our products are perishable, we can’t accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.

If your order arrives damaged or something isn’t as it should be, please email contact@lardass.com.au as soon as possible and we’ll make sure to help you.

Packaging & recycling

Keeping your butter safe in transit takes a little packaging, but we try to keep our footprint as small as we can.

Reuse your box if you can, or pop it in the recycling. For the rest of the packaging, check your local council guidelines for the best way to dispose of it.
